This firm is a scam. They claim they will assist you in discussing settlements with your creditors, and as the creditors keep calling, American Debt Services keeps asking for more money than agreed on, to get the settlements moving. In 5 months, they never once contacted one of my creditors. When I received a suit from American Express, American Debt Services said don't worry about it, Just tell the judge you are working with us to get the settlements handled. I requested American Debt Services to help me address "in a legal manner" a reply to the court, they ignored my request. I finally cancelled the account, although they tried to withdraw additional money from my bank account two weeks later. They refunded 1/8th of the fees I had paid. Great way to screw the consumer out of money he or she is having difficulty raising. I would not recommend this firm to anyone with financial problems. Their broken promises are blatant lies! The Attorney General should investigate them for fraud.
