I purchased a Thuraya phone and plan from this company in 2004 before I went to Iraq. I terminated my contract after 6 months and paid the termination fee. After terminating my contract in writing and over the phone they continued to bill me, and charge my card, for services that they were not performing. I made a phone call and spoke to a person named Tunde who assured me that My contract was terminated, I owed no money, and I would be refunded the money that they took. Two months pass and I receive another bill, although this time they did not charge my card. I called again and spoke to a person named Goelde who apologized and told me it would be taken care of, and that I would receive the, as yet, unreceived refund. Seven months later I had not received the refund, and I received another bill...I called again and was put on hold repeatedly until I eventually hung up in frustration. I sent several emails regarding my refund with no response. 4 years later I receive an email from a person named Christina regarding money that they owed me and my account. They were trying to clear their name with the BBB and needed to resolve my account. I had filed a complaint in 2005, and I had made a fraud report to the FBI. I eventually recovered some of the money that was owed to me but only after it benefitted them to do so. If someone were asking me to recomend a communications company (I am asked regularly in my line of work) GMPCS would never be one of them.
