Because there are a lot of scams out there, prior to retaining this law firm I had a list of questions. One of them was that I wanted to make sure that if they were unsuccessful in getting my loan modified, would the fees be returned and if so how long would it take. (I have EVERYTHING in writing). I was assured by Paul that all monies would be refunded within 10 days - including the deposit of $1,200 and that the normal turn around time to modify loan was between 90 to 120 days. Well, after having peace of mind having this in writing we negotiated a price of $2,800. I faxed over everything requested. I waited and waited. My "negotiater" started off with Paul, then Jose, then Jacob, then Steven, then Suzie, then Teresa, then Kelly, then Nicole, then Mr. Jackson, then Mary, etc., Needless to say NOTHING was done. The last person I dealt was with Mary. She kept insisting that they had contacted my mortgage company, but on her own email she claims the first time she saw my file was in June of 2010, even though I have emails back in '09 confirming they had received all of my docs. Whenever I would speak to my mortg. co., they told me then don't have any record of Janian even contacting them. When my mortg. co., started threatening foreclosure, I had to then deal with the mortgage co. myself. I even have in writting from my mortgage company that they never received "anything" from Janian, and of course I believe them. I demanded my "money back" guarantee monies to be returned and Mary emailed me basically saying "too bad. fees are non-refundable" I have never dealt with a company so unprofessional.
