Customer ends up paying for vendors mistakes
|
Bought a replacement assembly for an HP C8180 printer. They immediately charged my credit card but I did not receive the assembly for 5 weeks. The assembly they sent me had a broken gear with a missing tooth that had been glued to its shaft which had been glued to the assembly making the whole thing inoperative. This was a "refurbished" assembly which was totally unacceptable. Having shipped me a defective assembly, they would not pay for return shipping of the defective merchandise nor the shipping charges they billed for the defective assembly they sent me. They finally refunded the price of the faulty assembly but only after I inquired why they had not refunded their charges more than a week after they had received the returned defective assembly. In summary, I ended up paying $23.45 in shipping charges coming and going in order to get a $37.05 refund for defective merchandise. This is not a company that I would every again do business with, nor would I recommend they to anyone else.
