Pearblossom Academy is an amazing program!

I have two children in the Pearblossom Academy who have completed 3 years of the program. I promise you my children are learning more in this program than they ever would in public middle or high school. My daughter is dyslexic, has dysgraphia and anxiety. She could not keep up with the pace in the public school and she was being passed through each grade by default, not because she was learning anything. Courses that actually interested her were quickly filled, with the placement criteria being grades - and hers were not great because she wasn't receiving the support she needed. She was not in a level playing field environment in public high school. With Pearblossom, she was able to not only go at her own pace and learn when she was ready, but she was able to engage in coursework that really suits her passion in life - horses. In the process she has learned time management skills, accountability, and responsibility for her own choices and actions. She is completing her senior year with pride and a sense of accomplishment.
My son finds school very easy. Learning comes very easy to him, and he has thrived in this program as well. He has found interesting courses - such as Personal Finance - that he has found interesting and applicable to his success when he becomes an adult. He has done so well in fact, that this fall he is taking advantage of the dual enrollment program and beginning classes at our local community college that will also count for his high school credits. His goal is pursuing a degree in aerodynamic engineering.
I struggle regularly to find the words of appreciation for Pearblossom Academy. They are kind, responsive and want all their students to succeed. It is self-paced and self-guided but provides tutoring and assistance when needed. It is certainly an adjustment from public school, but in all the right ways! This program has been a true blessing to our family.
